Japanese Inspiration

These quilts were inspired by a gift of fabric samples for summer kimonos (yukata) that were given to Suzanne by a dear friend, Akemi Konishi, of Kyoto. Her quilt "Konnichiwa" is one of the three quilts along with Dragonflowers and Leafhoppers that were exhibited at the International Quilt Festival in Tokyo, Japan in January, 2003.
