Miracles
1988 - 78"x91"
The applique center was adapted from embroidery on a
bedcover made in l770 and signed by a l9-year-old girl named
Mary Breed. After making the center applique, I had no idea
what to do next--but started experimenting with borders around
it to make a quilt.
Honors:
- Miracles has won first place awards in Missouri,
Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Montana.
- Best of Show at the National Quilt Festival in Silver Dollar City, MO in
l988.
- It has been in invitational exhibits in Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, New
York,Texas, Georgia, and Kentucky.
