Akira Konishi is the fourth quilt that I have made using Japanese fabric that my friend, Akemi Konishi, gave to me. Akira Konishi is the name of Akemi's husband. The squares are adapted from the traditional quilting pattern, King David's Crown.

• It has been featured twice in Japanese quilting magazines.
