Hali Magazine printed a picture of a Norwegian tapestry made in 1717 that enchanged me! When I stumbled across the orange background fabric in a quilt store, I knew that I wanted to adapt the tapestry to a quilt. Fifty-eight Magi tapestries are known to exist. Birds and animals around a hexagon were used on 37 and 21 were based on a rectangular design divided bya cross.
